Today, in a Globe and Mail special editorial feature, Mediacorp Canada Inc. announced that Bombardier Aerospace is one of the 2012 Canada’s Top 100 Employers. Bombardier also received this acknowledgement last year.
Over 2,750 employers participated in the competition and provided a detailed review of their operations and human resources practices. Each company was graded on eight key areas: physical workplace; work atmosphere & social; health, financial & family benefits; vacation & time off; employee communications; performance management; training & skills development; and community involvement.
“We are very pleased to be recognized once again as one of Canada’s top 100 employers, as employee egagement is one of our top priorites and this award confirms that we remain on the right track,” said Guy C. Hachey, President and Chief Operating Officer, Bombardier Aerospace. “At Bombardier Aerospace we strive to be the industry leader and our people are key to our success. This award encourages us on our journey of continuous improvement as we focus on creating a safe and rewarding environment, that will attract and retain talent.” he added.
Employee engagement and enablement are central to Bombardier Aerospace’s success and has been measured each year since 2004. Year after year, based on the results of its comprehensive annual employee survey, managers, in collaboration with their teams, have been developing and implementing action plans designed to address improvement opportunities. This in turn has led to the introduction of many initiatives which have further fostered employee satisfaction, pride and motivation.
Now in its 12th year, the Canada’s Top 100 Employers competition is an editorial project organized by Mediacorp Canada Inc., a specialty publisher of employment guides and periodicals.
