Bombardier and ExecuJet at the Forefront of Business Aviation Development in Australasia

Bombardier aircraft dominate the region's long-range business jet segment

Bombardier and ExecuJet Australia today announced the first Bombardier Global 5000 business jet sale into the Australasian region. The high-speed aircraft was purchased by a New Zealand operator and will be based in Sydney, Australia. The Global 5000 aircraft's range and superior cabin comfort were key to its selection. It will be used mostly for intercontinental travel between Australia and North America.

This represents the sixth Bombardier Global jet to be sold in the region. The Bombardier Global Express ultra long-range business jet has set the standard in its category in Australia with five aircraft in operation since 2001. "The innovative Bombardier Global business jet family offers the ultimate combination of range and cabin comfort to meet Australasian operators' growing intercontinental travel requirements," said David Dixon, regional vice-president, sales Asia-Pacific, Bombardier Business Aircraft.

The Bombardier Global 5000 aircraft offers superior speed as well as the most advanced business jet cabin, incorporating the first Ethernet-based Air Show 21 application in corporate aviation. United States Federal Aviation Administration type approval was awarded in October 2004 and 9 aircraft were delivered as of January 31, 2005.

"The base of Bombardier business jet operators in Australasia continues to grow year after year, reflecting the success of the strong relationship between Bombardier and ExecuJet," stated Alistair Creighton-Jones, managing director, ExecuJet Australia. "The combination of a versatile product line, its suitability to the need of operators in the region and the complete local support offered by ExecuJet is the key to providing our customers with the best business aviation solution."

Since its arrival in Australia in 2000, ExecuJet has continued to drive a new era in Australian corporate travel, providing business travelers with first class worldwide access to the unparalleled benefits of business aircraft.

As the exclusive distributor and representative of the complete line of Bombardier business jets in Australia, ExecuJet has placed eight business jets into the region over the past 18 months.
