Bombardier Challenger 604 Program From Flexjet Offers Expanded Seating Capacity and New Amenities

* Seating capacity increased to accommodate 12 passengers, up from nine
* SATCOM voice/data added, plus 93 channels of DirecTV programming
* Reduction in operating costs for Bombardier Flexjet owners

Bombardier Flexjet, the fractional business jet ownership program of Bombardier Aerospace, announced a series of enhancements to its Bombardier Challenger 604 aircraft program, including a new interior configuration with greater seating capacity and new cabin amenities providing high-speed voice/data communication and DirecTV(r) programming. The world's best-selling large business jet, the versatile and reliable Challenger 604 aircraft offers the widest cabin in its class, transcontinental range, and exceptional value.

The new Flexjet interior offers a four-seat conference grouping in the aft cabin, providing a productive environment for work and an additional berth for relaxing on longer flights. It also offers a side-facing divan, belted for four passengers. The new configuration increases seating capacity to a total of 12 passengers - up from nine seats in the current Challenger 604 aircraft in the Flexjet fleet.

To allow for the additional seating, total available cabin space was increased by 16 inches, achieved by replacing the existing Challenger 604 lavatory, which includes closet/storage space, with a standard-size lavatory. The spacious baggage compartment remains unchanged, as does the closet/storage space in the forward cabin area.

In addition, the Challenger 604 business jet in the Flexjet fleet will be outfitted with satellite communications equipment providing continuous, global, high-capacity voice and data communication anywhere in the world. Within the continental United States, passengers will be able to enjoy up to 93 channels of DirecTV programming, including 53 channels of video programming and 40 music channels, along with larger flat-screen cabin video monitors.

New Flexjet fractional owners purchasing a 50-hour share in the Challenger 604 will be able to take advantage of lower monthly management fees and hourly rates. All Challenger 604 fractional owners also benefit from Flexjet's recently announced waiver of ferry fees for travel to and from Europe and Hawaii.

"The Bombardier Challenger 604 offers the widest, and one of the quietest, cabins in the large-jet class in which passengers can work or rest in total comfort," said Michael McQuay, President, Bombardier Aircraft Services. "The new Flexjet cabin configuration and ferry fee waiver options for Europe and Hawaii will make an already superior aircraft an even more logical choice for the large-jet fractional market."

According to Mr. McQuay, the new configuration is a response to existing Flexjet owners' needs as well as the market potential for a large business jet with greater seating capacity for shorter flights and more berthing for overseas flights.

"The exceptional width of the Challenger 604 allows for the new four-seat conference arrangement and the end result is greater flexibility and convenience," said Mr. McQuay. "Whole aircraft owners who have chosen a similar seating configuration have been extremely pleased with it. They have found that the conference and divan area is ideal for meetings and conversation, and they appreciate the additional full-recline capability for overseas flights."
