Bombardier Challenger 605 Jet Debuts At Labace

Bombardier Aerospace will showcase three of its innovative business jets, including the show debut of its newest high-performance aircraft – the Challenger 605 jet – at the fourth annual Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (LABACE) in São Paulo, Brazil, from August 9-11.

The super light Learjet 45 XR aircraft and super midsize Challenger 300 jet will be on static display at Congonhas Airport, along with the new widebody Challenger 605 jet, which will be making its Latin American debut in São Paulo. The newest member of Bombardier’s Challenger family features the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite as well as an all-new cabin electronic system and the widest stand-up cabin of any large category business jet available today. The Challenger 605 jet was recently certified for steep approach and landing capability at London City Airport.

“Bombardier is strengthening its position in the Latin American market by offering a wide range of innovative business aircraft, well suited to the diverse range of both business travel needs and operating conditions in the region,” notes Fabio Rebello, regional vice-president, sales, Latin America, Bombardier Business Aircraft.

Bombardier leads the large aircraft segment in Latin America with 49 per cent of the installed fleet as at March 31, 2007 and, as the overall leader in business aircraft deliveries for 2006 in Latin America, Bombardier enjoys a strong presence in the region.

Challenger 605: In service since January 2007, this aircraft is equipped with the full range of new features available aboard the Challenger 605 jet, including a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite and a state-of-the-art Ethernet-based Cabin Electronic System.
