Bombardier Delivers 150th Challenger 300 Aircraft Into Service

Bombardier today announced a significant milestone in its highly successful Challenger 300 program – the delivery into service of the 150th manufactured super midsize Challenger 300 business jet. The aircraft was delivered on July 31 to Flexjet, Bombardier’s fractional business jet ownership program.

This important delivery highlights the ongoing strength of Bombardier’s Challenger business jet program, as its success continues to build.

Since its entry into service in 2004, the Challenger 300 jet has earned high praise from customers for its ability to deliver outstanding mission completion. The aircraft has consistently demonstrated its performance capabilities – highlighted by five world record flights sanctioned by the National Aeronautic Association – and dispatch reliability over 99 percent.

“This milestone delivery clearly emphasizes the strength and leadership of this young program as well as customers’ confidence in the Challenger 300 jet, which sets the standard for performance, reliability and dependability in the super midsize category,” stated Eric Martel, vice-president and general manager, Challenger and Global aircraft.

The Challenger 300 jet offers true transcontinental range and superior long-range cruise speed, combined with a full eight-passenger cabin and competitively low operating costs.
These attributes make this aircraft a very attractive solution for corporate travel requirements throughout the world.

The Challenger 300 jet cabin is designed to provide a highly productive working environment for travelers, making it the business aircraft of choice for decision makers. The aircraft’s Mach 0.82 high-speed cruise capability offers the ability to cross the United States in five hours*. The Challenger 300 jet’s quick time-to-climb capability enables the aircraft to rise rapidly above both inclement weather and traffic, ensuring efficient corporate travel.
