Bombardier Introduces Superior Midsize Business Jet Family to Brazil

Bombardier today kicked off the third annual LABACE convention with a special salute, Brazilian-style, to its two market-leading midsize jets - the renowned Special Edition Bombardier Learjet 60 and the new Bombardier Challenger 300, which has just successfully completed its first year in service.

The two popular jets were welcomed to Congonhas Airport during a brief ceremony featuring a Brazilian Chorinho group. Participating in the event were Anderson Markiewicz, chairman of the Brazilian Business Aviation Association (ABAG) and Ed Bolen, president and CEO, National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) - the two organizations coordinating LABACE - as well as senior executives from Bombardier Aerospace and OceanAir, Bombardier's exclusive sales representative in Brazil.

In the midsize segment, the new Special Edition Learjet 60 business jet offers an unbeatable combination of value and high-speed performance. Recognized as one of the best-selling jets in corporate aviation with 279 aircraft manufactured as of February 2005, the Learjet 60 now features $1 million (U.S.) of interior and avionics options as standard equipment. Bombardier introduced the Special Edition Learjet 60 as the new production model in October 2004.

The Bombardier Challenger 300 entered service in January 2004 and is the only all-new aircraft in the super-midsize segment offering transcontinental range and superior long-range cruise speed, combined with a full eight-passenger cabin. Twenty-eight aircraft had been delivered as of February 2005 and are in daily service with corporate operators, Bombardier Flexjet fractional owners and charter operators. It is rapidly earning a reputation for outstanding reliability and features a dispatch rate exceeding 98 per cent.

"Bombardier is setting the standard in the midsize category," declared Fabio Rebello, regional vice-president, sales, Latin America, Bombardier Business Aircraft. "Both the Special Edition Learjet 60 and Challenger 300 aircraft deliver superior reliability, true transcontinental range and the best value in their class."
