Bombardier Highlights Notable Middle Eastern Presence at Meba 2007

Bombardier Aerospace will showcase its innovative family of business jets and highlight Skyjet International’s leadership role in worldwide charter services at the second edition of the Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on January 31 and February 1, 2007.

“MEBA gives us an exciting new forum to highlight our commitment to the Middle East as we continue to expand our presence in Dubai,” said Bob Horner, vice-president, sales, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “With Bombardier’s comprehensive line of business jets, Skyjet International’s industry-leading turnkey charter solutions, and a dedicated authorized service facility and parts depot, we deliver complete travel and support solutions befitting all the business and leisure needs of the region.”

Bombardier has established firm roots in Dubai, dating back to 1995 when it established its regional sales headquarters for the Middle East and Africa. Since then, the company has continued to grow its presence by adding a Skyjet International regional office in February 2005, and an Authorized Service Facility (ASF) and parts depot began operations in December 2005.

This ongoing expansion has been key to Bombardier’s leadership role and success throughout the Middle East:

•             There are currently 47 Bombardier business jets based in the Middle East and the Indo-Pakistan subcontinent including the popular widebody Challenger 600 Series jets, which leads the large aircraft category with 48 per cent market share in these regions;

•             Bombardier’s Skyjet International, allied with the region’s leading charter providers and boasting the largest fleet in the Middle East, offers premier business jet charter programs with unprecedented worldwide access to a fleet of over 930 business jets;

•             The Bombardier ExecuJet ASF, dedicated to servicing Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft, has serviced over 70 different aircraft in its first 12 months of operation.

Bombardier works closely with two leading business jet sales organizations – TAG Aeronautics and ExecuJet Middle East. TAG Aeronautics is the exclusive representative and distributor for Bombardier Challenger, Global and CRJ Series jets in the Arab-League countries and Turkey. ExecuJet is the exclusive Middle East representative for the sale of Learjet aircraft and has offered Bombardier business jet charter since 1999.
