EcoDesign
More than 80% of environmental impacts can be determined at the design stage; our Eco-Design process ensures we embed the environment at all phases of our product innovation lifecycle. Through this approach, we are also making further advancements to eliminate hazardous materials, use energy efficiently and ensure the recyclability and recoverability of our products at the end of their useful life. Our vision is for all new products to be 100% recoverable.
Through our leading Eco-Design approach, we are optimizing the environmental performance of our aircraft at every stage of the lifecycle and communicating their environmental impacts in a transparent and verifiable way. The Global 7500 aircraft is the first business jet conceived using this approach, and in June 2020, Bombardier made aviation history when it became the first business jet manufacturer to release an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), which it did for the industry flagship Global 7500 aircraft.
